I need to clean up somethings on my credit report. Would it be better and faster to higher someone to do it for me or to call these places myself? I need to clear it up kind of quick so I can close on my house.

Normally I recommend that you do not mess with credit repair services if you can help it. Many are a scam. They charge you hundred of dollars to do stuff that you can do yourself.
Your case appears to be a little more complex. You need instant relief (which I seriously doubt you will get). Not only do you need to work with your current creditors, you would want to work with the mortgage company. They seem to be very unreasonable about their demands to clean up your credit report.
You may need the help of a trained negotiator. I don't know your current income situation so I can't be of much more help here.

Best try to clean it up yourself. Sometimes, it reflects poorly on your credit when you have used a credit repair agency. In fact, my real estate agent told me not to use one UNTIL I had closed. I guess it looks as if you can't handle your own debts. So, you might be okay to seek some advice, but not their services.
